Build-Up Phase
The building up for allergy immunotherapy includes a series of injections with increasing amounts of the allergens between 3 and 4 times each week. Depending on how often the injections are received, most patients develop tolerance around the 8 month mark, although results may vary.
Maintenance Phase
When the effective dose is reached, the maintenance phase begins. The effective maintenance dose may vary depending on your sensitivity to the allergen and your response to the build-up phase.
