Ticks can pass along germs, bacteria, and viruses that can be deadly to our health and the health of our pets.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Of the ticks that bite, the Ixodes Scapularis resides in the brush and wooded regions along the eastern portion of the states. This particular species is a carrier of Lyme disease. After hiking in wooded or dense brush areas, check extensively for ticks and shower right after arriving home. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">If you regularly work in areas like this, you should check for ticks every couple of hours.
