In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, we understand that many of you might be apprehensive going to a medical facility for requisite care. DOCS has rolled out a new Telemedicine program. This program will allow us to support all our patients by providing convenient and quality healthcare from the comfort of your home.

Telemedicine FAQs

Who should consider using our telemedicine program?

All patients should consider utilizing this program, especially the elderly and immunocompromised. Additionally, anyone who may have had contact with a COVID-19 positive patient or otherwise suspect contracting the virus to use this service.

How does it work?

You can follow the link below to sign up for a visit.
After you have signed up, you will receive an email notification and be able to log in and speak with a provider. Telemedicine visits can cover routine prescriptions and sick visits for most conditions.

What if additional testing is needed?

If any additional testing is needed requisitions will be sent to nearby a laboratory of your choice. If testing is needed which can be conducted in a DOCS location notification will be sent to your nearest location so that testing can be done with minimal wait time.

Can COVID-19 testing be done during a telehealth visit?

Testing cannot be done via televisit. Please schedule an appointment here in order to come in to be tested.

How is COVID-19 testing conducted?

This test is a nasal swab. After your telehealth visit if you are determined to be high risk also called a person under investigation (PUI) COVID-19 testing will be recommended. In this instance, the provider will ask you to drive to the nearest center, call the center from the parking lot and remain in your car. A staff member will come to you and collect a sample for testing. Initially a flu test will be done. If this is negative a COVID-19 test would be done. If the flu test is positive COVID-19 testing will not be done

Does my Insurance cover this?

Currently, Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, United Health Care, ConnectiCare, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim are covering telemedicine services.

For all others, there is a $100 fee that will be collected at the time of the visit. After the visit you can submit the receipt and documentation we will provide you. to your insurance for reimbursement. 

How much does it cost?

Your one-time payment of $100 covers testing only done at a DOCS facility. Offsite testing including COVID-19 will be billed separately by the lab. Prescriptions will be billed by the pharmacy.
