Primary Care Pre-Employment Physicals

All of our primary care locations in Connecticut can provide pre-employment physical examinations and services to help assess the capabilities and health of new employees. This Pre-Employment testing allows for the affiliated business to gain a better understanding of the health of the personnel they plan to hire. The physical allows our staff to obtain better knowledge of our entire staffs medical history

Only those who reach the final stage of our hiring process will undergo a pre-employment physical, ensuring they are fully capable of performing the physical duties of their chosen job, without risk of illness or injury. Pre-employment physicals can help to reduce injuries that can occur on the job, relate health care costs and expenses for the business, and ensure suitability for the hire. Why is the Pre-Employment Physical Examination Necessary?

Pre-employment physicals allow for the employer to have peace of mind about their chosen hire, helping to allow them to see how each applicant’s health could influence their employment. Specifically, these tests are designed to examine each patient and test for their general health as well as their physical abilities.

We test each individual for various medications and compare them to see how they could potentially affect their performance at work. Some medications can cause drowsiness, which is extremely dangerous for employees who are operating heavy machinery regularly. Screenings are used for occupations that may have a high stress environment to ensure that mental disorders like depression aren’t present. A drug test is also administered to ensure a safe workplace and environment for all.

Depending upon the time frame and effectiveness desired, we provide various tests for employers.

Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

A physical abilities test (PAT) is comprehensive testing that can aid in matching the potential employees physical expectations of the role. The exam includes testing for grip and pull strength, monitoring general strength and ability to carry objects, as well as multiple other physical ability tests.
