Annual Physicals

An annual physical examination is an essential element to reassuring you’re as healthy as you feel, in addition, it can also be used as an alarm system to catch health problems before they become serious.

INCLUDED IN ANNUAL EXAMS

History This is your chance to mention any complains or concerns about your health. Your provider will also take this opportunity to assess your lifestyle, and what factors could contribute to living a healthier lifestyle (smoking, diet, exercise.) Finally, your provider will also update your vaccination status and suggest those necessary and recommended. Vitals (Will be checked including:)
  • Blood Pressure
  • Heart Rate
  • Height / Weight
  • Respiratory Rate
  • Temperature

Heart Exam

Listening to your heart with a stethascope, your provider is looking to detect a healthy heartbeat. Irregular heartbeat, a heart murmur, while other clues may suggest heart disease.

​Lung Exam

Using a stethoscope, your provider will listen for crackles, wheezes, or decreasing breath sounds. These and others sounds are clues to the possible presense of heart or lung disease.

​Head & Neck Exam

Your provider will be examing your throat and tonsils at this stage. The quality of your teeth and gums also prvides information about your overal health. In addition, ears, nose, sinuses, eyes, lymph nodes, thyroid, and carotid arteries will also be examined.

Abdominal Exam

Your provider will use a range of examination techniques to determine liver size and presence of abdominal fluid, listening for bowel sounds with a stethoscope, and palpating for tenderness.

Neurological Exam

Nerves, muscle strength, reflexes, balance, and mental state will be assessed.

​Dermatological Exam

Skin and nail findings could indicate a dermatological problem or disease.

Extremities Exam

Your provider will look for physical and sensory changes. Pulses will be checked in your arms and legs. Furthermore, examining joints can assess for abnormalities.
