Only those with severe symptoms of shortness of breath or difficulty breathing should report to the Emergency Department.

COVID-19 Testing Offered in Bridgeport

Blood Drawing for Antibody Testing

Our Bridgeport office can offer antibody testing for COVID-19. This test includes drawing blood to then send to our lab for testing. This test will look for the presence of certain antibodies and determine if you have already had the virus.

Rapid Diagnostic Testing

We can also offer rapid diagnostic testing in Bridgeport for COVID-19. This is an advanced and more effective testing for the virus. Results can be given in as little as 15 minutes.

To administer this test, our Bridgeport office has a Quidel Sofia 2 diagnostic machine that operates using nasopharyngeal swabs that will be processed through the machine. With little wait time, you will have your results even before you leave the office.
