At DOCS Urgent Care of Bridgeport, our dedicated team of professionals strives to meet all of your student health care needs regular routine or urgent, and to provide you with the best all round care and treatments you need year-round.
Acute Illness or Injuries
Our highly reputable clinic offers walk-in services, extended week day hours and weekend hours as well. Here at Docs Urgent Care we have come to be recognized as your reliable source to treat any unexpected injuries or acute illnesses when other student health centers are not available.
Flu Shots
In addition to our wide range of services we offer here at DOCS Urgent Care we are on hand to provide flu shots to patients in our efforts to avoid the spread of influenza, a highly contagious viral infection. When you elect to have a flu shot, your body will, over a period of two weeks, develop necessary antibodies needed to fight off the flu infection should you come in contact with it. Seasonal vaccinations we administer will generally protect against common strains such as Influenza a (H1N1) virus, Influenza A (H3H2) virus, and Influenza B virus.
We highly recommend students and all of our patients over the age of 6, receive the seasonal vaccinations. Some individuals, however, who suffer with chronic illnesses may be at a higher risk of complications from the vaccinations.
Travel Immunizations
For those traveling to international destinations, the team here at DOCS is equipped to administer disease-preventing travel immunizations. We help to ensure that harmful bacteria and viruses do not minimize or spoil your travel experiences whether here in the country or abroad.

STD Testing
For those students concerned about their sexual activities, multiple partners, or the fact that they have recently had unprotected sex and are experiencing unknown symptoms or infections, our team of skilled doctors and specialists here at DOCS Urgent Care are readily available to render STD testing and treatments as necessary. All testing performed in our Bridgeport facility is not only quickly completed but kept highly confidential. There are a number of tests that are performed including urine and/or blood samples, swabs (specific to the mouth, genitals, sores, and any discharge), as well as complete physical exams. You can take advantage of our walk-in services or schedule your appointment in advance.

In addition, here at DOCS Urgent Care we provide routine physicals for entrance into school or sporting activities for all our Bridgeport students. Physicals rendered here at our clinic include patient vitals, hearing, vision, and any other conditions that may interfere with any specific activities. Our dedicated physicians will accumulate data needed at your visit which would include any family medical history and will administer any other testing they need appropriate.
