Our Healthcare Services for Students

The team of professionals here at DOCS Urgent Care of Danbury, strives to meet the individual needs of all our student patients. We offer only the highest quality care and treatment to all our valued patients.

Acute Illness or Injuries

For acute illnesses and those unsuspecting injuries, students can take advantage of our walk-in welcome policy, as well as our extended after hours, and our weekend hours. We are steadfast in being your friendly and reliable medical source to help you combat those acute illnesses and injuries when other student health centers are unable to accommodate your needs.

Flu Shots

It is important to protect yourself during the flu season from contagious viral infections. When you choose to get a flu shot you are providing your body with the means of developing antibodies in a two-week timeline necessary to fight off infections linked to the virus. Influenza a (H1N1) virus, Influenza A (H3H2) virus, and Influenza B virus are common strains of the virus that seasonal vaccinations can combat.

Here at DOCS Urgent Care we highly recommend seasonal vaccinations for all our patients over the age of six, including those that are typically very healthy. However, it is important to understand that individuals who suffer with chronic illnesses are at a higher risk of complications from vaccinations.

Travel Immunizations

If you are planning to travel, the team here at DOCS is prepared to administer disease-preventing travel immunizations as needed. When travelling, you don’t want harmful bacteria and viruses to spoil your travel plans and render you sick during your international travels.

Common Travel Vaccinations Include

  • Yellow Fever
  • Meningitis (Meningococcal)
  • HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Typhoid
  • Rabies
  • Polio
  • Hepatitis A (HEP A)
  • Hepatitis B (HEP B)
  • Hepatitis B Combination

Whether you have multiple sexual partners, are currently sexually active, or had unprotected sex and are experiencing any infections or symptoms, you have come to the right place.
