Acute Illness or Injuries
Here at DOCS Urgent Care of Fairfield we also provide care and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries. Students can take advantage of our many benefits including our walk-in welcome policy, our extended after hours and our weekend hours as well. The team here at DOCS strives to be the best all round and reliable medical source for students faced with acute illnesses and injuries, especially when other student health centers are unable to meet their needs.
Flu Shots
Flu season can be a bit of a challenge to everyone. Here at DOCS we administer flu vaccinations to help students combat the many contagious viral infections that can be spread during the flu season. Flu shots provide your body antibodies needed to fight off infections linked to the virus. Influenza a (H1N1) virus, Influenza A (H3H2) virus, and Influenza B virus are some of the more common strains of the virus that flu shots can combat.
Our team of specialists recommend all of our patients over the age of six have seasonal vaccinations. However, we want to alert patients that those suffering with chronic illnesses may be at a higher risk for complications from flu shots.
Travel Immunizations
It is highly recommended when traveling abroad, that individuals have disease preventing travel immunization shots. Our dedicated team of physicians here at DOCS Urgent Care of Fairfield are on hand to administer these vaccinations in their efforts to help your travels to be free of the effects of harmful bacteria and viruses.

STD Testing
At DOCS Urgent Care of Fairfield our highly professional team of physicians also provide our student patients with STD testing and treatments. If you have multiple sexual partners, are currently sexually active, or have had unprotected sex and are experiencing symptoms, our team of specialists can help. All STD testing we perform is completed quickly and confidentially, unless we find it necessary to send you elsewhere for further evaluation. All testing performed here at DOCS includes urine or blood samples, swabs (mouth, genitals, sores, discharge), and physical exams. Students may choose to use our walk-in services or can schedule a confidential appointment in advance.

Sports & School Physicals
Most schools require annual school physicals and sports physicals.
