These DOT physicals are necessary in order to identify any mental, emotional or physical issues a driver may have that can outwardly impact their ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and effectively. The DOT medical physicians at our top-rated clinic are all highly skilled and trained to evaluate and assess regulations and determine if a driver is not qualified to perform their commercial driving responsibilities and duties adequately. ARE CDL PHYSICALS THE SAME AS DOT PHYSICALS?

Commercial drivers who travel the interstate and long distances are typically required to have a DOT physical, but not all drivers are required to have a CDL physical exam. There are times when drivers looking to receive their commercial driver’s license (CDL) may also be required to have a DOT physical. Some drivers who may also need a Medical Examiner’s (ME) Certificate can obtain this certificate at the time of their DOT physical appointment.
