COVID-19 Symptoms

COVID-19 symptoms include fever, dry cough, shortness of breath and congestion which can range in severity. If you know you have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 then the chances of testing positive for COVID-19 greatly increases.  Call your local emergency care or dial 911 for help if you have experienced severe symptoms. Do not arrive at the ER without calling ahead and explaining that you have severe symptoms of COVID-19.

Who Should Get Tested?

Only those who experience severe symptoms of COVID-19 should seek medical attention, whereas around 80% of those infected require no medical attention and should self-isolate at home. If you have the symptoms of COVID-19, you can schedule an appointment at our New Milford office for testing.

COVID-19 Testing Offered in New Milford

Blood Drawing for Antibody Testing

DOCS Urgent Care of New Milford’s antibody testing includes having blood drawn to have it tested in an off-site lab. This test allows us to look for the presence of antibodies, telling us whether or not you have had the infection.

Rapid Diagnostic Testing

DOCS is able to offer our patients rapid diagnostic testing in New Milford. This is a more advanced and effective testing for COVID-19. This test allows us to give you results in as little as 15 minutes.

Our New Milford location utilizes a Quidel Sofia 2 diagnostic machine. This machine uses nasopharyngeal swabs and processes it, giving you the test result before you even leave our office.
