Flu Shots
When flu season hits, everybody can be at risk. At DOCS Urgent Care of New Milford, we administer flu vaccinations to all our student patients in our efforts to help students ward off contagious viral infections that spread quickly during the flu season. Flu shots provide the body with needed antibodies to fight off infections linked directly to the virus. Influenza a (H1N1) virus, Influenza A (H3H2) virus, and Influenza B virus are the most common strains of the virus that can be fought off with flu vaccinations.
We highly recommend that all individuals over the age of six have flu shots. However, individuals suffering with chronic illnesses may be at a higher risk for complications from the vaccinations.
