What to expect DURING the physical

During your physical one of our certified physicians will test your hearing, vision, and also check your vitals for any irregularities. In order to deem you healthy to play sports or partake in camp activities, DOCS will also take into account your family medical history to decide if more tests are needed at your local Connecticut location.

  • Past injuries (including concussions, sprains, or bone fractures)
  • History with passing out, dizziness, chest pain, or trouble breathing during exercise.
  • Medications that you are currently on (over-the-counter/ herbal supplements/ prescription.)
  • Vaccinations

What should I bring to the physical?

Make sure before you arrive you bring a copy of any paperwork one of our healthcare professionals may need to sign. These are frequently supplied by the school, camp, or community. If your child or teen is prescribed any medication or has eye prescriptions make sure to bring those as well. You will also need your Photo ID and current insurance card to your local Connecticut DOCS.
