COVID-19 Symptoms
COVID-19 has symptoms that can show up in other illnesses such as the flu, common cold or pneumonia. The symptoms that you should keep an eye out for are dry coughs, fever, shortness of breath and congestion. You have more of a chance of testing positive for COVID-19 if you know you have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.
If your symptoms are severe and you wish to seek testing or treatment make sure to give the ER or your local emergency care a call ahead of time.
Who Should Get Tested?

At our Stamford office, we can test a patient to see if they have any antibodies. The test is done by first collecting a blood sample which is then shipped off to an off-site lab. Our office is equipped with the Quidel Sofia 2 diagnostic machine. This machine allows us to collect nasopharyngeal swabs and let them be quickly and accurately processed. You will have your results before you even leave our office!
