Acute Illness or Injuries

Further to the medical services we offer our student patients, here at the clinic we also offer medical care and treatment for acute illnesses or injuries. DOCS Urgent Care of Stratford allows our student patients to enjoy a variety of benefits here at our clinic that include a friendly walk-in welcome policy, extended after hours and weekend hours as well.

Flu Shots

Our team of physicians also administer flu vaccinations to student patients. Flu season can be a bit a risk to nearly everyone which is why it is so important to get your flu shot. Flu vaccinations help provide your body with the various antibodies needed to fight off the flu. Some of the common strains of the virus that flu vaccinations can fight and ward off include Influenza a (H1N1) virus, Influenza A (H3H2) virus, and Influenza B virus.

We highly recommend that anybody over the age of 6 have a flu shot. However, individuals suffering with chronic illnesses may find themselves faced with a higher risk for complications from the vaccinations.

Travel Immunizations

Our doctors administer the STD testing to those students who have multiple sexual partners, are currently sexually active, or have had unprotected sex and are experiencing symptoms. The testing components include taking urine or blood samples, swabs (mouth, genitals, sores, discharge), and physical exams with all testing being completed quickly and, of course, confidentially, unless it is necessary to send you to another physician for further evaluation. Students can schedule a private, confidential appointment or can take advantage of our convenient walk-in services.

Your routine physical exam will typically include checking your vitals, hearing, vision and any other testing needed to meet the requirements of any particular sport.
