What to expect DURING a school physical
During the school physical doctors perform a series of tests and measurements. Vision and hearing tests, height and weight measurements and other vitals are among the tests that are performed. The doctor will discuss with parents the importance of vaccines and immunization shots in light of the many germs, bacteria and illnesses that are present in the school environment. What should I bring to the physical?
When you and your child arrive for their appointment be sure you have with you your child’s immunization records, a list of any medications they take, and the appropriate school forms the doctor needs to fill out and sign. If your child is going to need a vaccination, we ask you to please contact us in advance to ensure that we have the vaccine available.
